Scientific Approach
Mounjaro is a once-weekly injection designed for weight loss and weight management in adults. It contains the active ingredient tirzepatide and has been approved for use in the UK since November 2023.
Mounjaro works by activating two natural hormones in the body—glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1).
