8 Minute Bikini Body Workout
This short and sweet 8 minute workout by Blogilates requires no equipment and is a total body workout that aims to target your abs, shoulders and upper body, slims down thighs, perks up your chest and lifts your booty. There are only 4 moves that last 2 minutes each. To lose weight as well as tone up, try this work out after a cardio workout session.
20 Minute Bikini HIIT Workout
This total body, high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout will help you to burn fat and calories whilst strengthening your entire body. HIIT workouts are great because you only work each move for 40 seconds and get 20 to rest. It requires no equipment and you can do it in the comfort of your own home.
40 Minute Bikini Body Workout
This workout is a lot longer than the other two and is aimed at those who are slightly more advanced and experienced in the world of workouts! This is a total body workout and targets both the upper and lower body. The only equipment needed is a set of dumbbells between 5- 10 lbs. This video includes a warm up and cool down as well.
Now for the recipe…
After your workout, try this recipe for a beef and broccoli stir fry at only 266 calories per serving. It’s easy to make and is bound to please the whole family with its distinct Asian flavours and is the perfect alternative to a takeaway.
You will need:
- 1 pound pre-cut beef for stir-fry ( for an even leaner option, try turkey or chicken)
- 2 garlic cloves, smashed
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 bunch broccoli (about 1 lb)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- ½ cup water
- 1 ½ cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup fresh mung bean sprouts
Method:
- Combine the beef, garlic, ginger and soy sauce in a bowl and allow it to marinate.
- Prepare the broccoli by cutting it into florets, trimming and peeling the stems.
- Heat up a tbsp of oil in a large wok on a high heat and add in the broccoli. Stir fry for 2 minutes. Add in ½ cup water and stir until the water evaporates and then transfer the broccoli to a plate.
- Add the remaining oil to the pan and add in the beef mixture. Stir fry for about 3 minutes.
- Stir the broth and cornstarch together and add the mixture to the meat and stir fry the sauce until it’s thickened.
- Add in the broccoli, bean sprouts and cook, stirring until everything has heated through.
