Yuk Sung Style Chilli Pouches Recipe

To achieve effective weight loss goals quickly and effectively, it is important to have a health and balanced diet.  This doesn’t mean it can’t be full of your most exciting food types.  For example, this recipe is a delicious replacement for your Chinese takeaway!  It’s extremely easy to make, and very low in carbohydrates but has plenty of flavour and different textures. Use the lettuce as pouches or wraps for the chilli for a different and exciting way to eat.

 Serves 1

330 calories per serving

Ingredients:

  • Low calorie cooking spray
  • 1 x pack of Mmm Vegetable Chilli
  • 2 x little gem lettuce leaves
  • 1 x spring onion
  • 1 x garlic clove
  • 1/2 x red pepper
  • Dark soy sauce

Topping:

  • 1 tsp chilli flakes (for extra spice)
  • (Optional: 1 handful of vermicelli Chinese Rice noodles)

Method:

1.  Chop and then fry the spring onion, garlic clove and red pepper in the cooking spray for 5 minutes.

2.  Empty the contents of the Mmm Vegetable Chilli sachet into a small saucepan.  Add 140ml of boiling water and stir, cook on the hop for 5 minutes.

3.  Add in the veggies and the soy sauce and stir.

4.  Place the lettuce on a plate, take the chilli off the heat and distribute evenly between the two leaves.

5.  Sprinkle with the rice noodles and/or the chilli flakes.

6.  Voilà! Enjoy your Yuk Sung style pouches.
