I have never been skinny, not sure I really want to be. I have always been a size 14/16 but when I had to start buying size 18/20 I decided enough was enough. I didn’t want to join a slimming club, it really isn’t for me, so I Googled other options and The Slimming Clinic came up. I plucked up the courage and made a phone call (which was the best thing I have done for a long time). My appointment was booked for 1st May 2015. I was slightly nervous but the staff were really friendly and after speaking to the doctor and being told I was obese at 14st 12lb I was mortified. Within 3 months I had lost 3 stone and gone back down to a size 14. I was eating healthy and drinking lots of water, I cut out all alcohol, bread, crisps and sweets. If I needed a snack I would have fruit or a Special K cereal bar.

I feel like a different person now and I feel so much happier in myself. I now weigh 11st 1lb and am a size 12/14. I don’t really exercise but due to a job change at work I no longer sit down all day and I am constantly on the go which is great. On top of all of this on March 28th 2015 my husband deployed with the Army to the Falklands for 7 months, as much as I miss him like mad it has given me the opportunity to focus on my weight loss. Recently I had a birthday and when I told him my mum had brought me a new coat, he said “Why, I got you one last year” I did laugh. He just can’t grasp how much smaller I am now compared to when he left as he hasn’t seen me since I have lost the weight. I cannot wait to see his reaction when he comes home in November and he sees my weight loss! (Oh and show him the new wardrobe he has had to buy me haha). I have a little more weight to lose but with the help from the The Slimming Clinic it’s coming off slowly but surely so thank you.
