Throughout my weight loss journey the support from my local National Slimming & Cosmetic Clinic in Plymouth has been amazing, the doctors are all very supportive and understanding and Karina and Lauren have always made me feel very welcome and also have been very supportive. Two years on and now married the weight has stayed off and my clinic still support me through the maintenance of my weight loss and continue to make me feel part of a very big and successful family. I have gone from a size 18 to a size 8 with The Slimming Clinic and could not be happier.*

I have always struggled with my weight and tried so many different diets, some very good and some not so good but the weight once lost has never stayed off. I had heard about a slimming clinic in Plymouth and had even walked past the door a few times but had never gone in mainly due to time but also thinking that I could lose the weight myself because I had done it before. I met my husband in September 2008 and I had just lost a lot of weight as I was going through a divorce so I was going to the gym 5 or 6 times a week and not really eating properly. Over the next 4 years I had stopped going to the gym completely and I had become very comfortable and the weight started to creep back on, this was not a bad thing at first but it then became out of control. I hated getting dressed up to go out as I felt so uncomfortable and I was not happy with the way I looked! Then one evening a friend came over and he looked amazing as he had lost about 2 stone. He said he had found it quite easy to do as he had joined a slimming clinic and went there once a week to see a doctor and follow a diet. I was very impressed with his results and I knew I had to make an appointment with this clinic. The final push to do this came when my husband then proposed and we set the wedding date for June 2014. I then had a very important goal to work towards and my successful weight loss journey began.
