Stacie’s Weight Loss Story – Week 3!

Weight Loss and Healthy Eating Tips

Stacie has kindly been sharing with us her slimming story! Read below how her third week with The Slimming Clinic went!

This week I had such good intentions to do really well and get back on track with my weight loss as last week I didn’t lose as much as I wanted to but it didn’t seem to go to plan at all.

The first difficulty was that I had eaten out a couple of times in week 2 and it probably took a few days for this weight to become visible meaning I needed to work extra hard to show a loss at the end of week 3.

I had an extremely busy, stressful few days at work, which meant by the time I got home I was tired and fed up. When I feel like this I always want something nice to eat to cheer myself up. I find I also end up eating later and have to miss out on exercise, as I don’t have any free time.

As well as work being more difficult than usual I also had a number of problems at home including a broken shower, no heating and builder appointments for various things. This all added to the stress of the week and took up more of my time when I wanted to be focusing on prepping meals and going to the gym.

I also seemed to be very forgetful due to being so busy and on the one day I had prepared meals I ended up forgetting them in a rush to get to work.

From dieting in the past I know that my body doesn’t deal with stress and a busy lifestyle very well and causes me to stall or put on weight which can sometimes then make things worse as it often makes me want to give up but this time I feel differently.

I am going to treat this as one bad week and try and be positive moving into week 4 as I know with the help of NSC I can do it and I don’t want to let them or myself down. I have a goal to reach and when I get to week 12 I want to look back and be able to say that this one bad week didn’t defeat me.

It is easy to say you will lose 2lbs a week or a nice even number to reach your targets but sometimes life can change this and mean some weeks are better than others. I always like the saying ‘it’s a marathon not a sprint’ meaning you don’t have to get there as quick as you can. There is plenty of time and as long as you can pick yourself back up, keep going and do the best you can that’s all that matters.

I haven’t lost any weight this week and actually put on 0.4lbs but I am going to plan my week, plan my meals and stay positive (life permitting) and hope to see results in 7 days time.

I am looking forward to my appointment on Wednesday where I can have any official weigh in and get some more advice from the doctor and staff in the clinic to help me on my way to seeing that all important goal weight on the scales!
